Dabangg 2: Paisa Vasool Movie - Yes

Story Idea - Chulbul Pandey (Salman Khan) got transfer to Kanpur. In this movie, Pandeyji is living there with wife Rajjo (Sonakshi Sinha), step-father Prajapati (Vinod Khanna) and brother Makkhi (Arbaaz Khan). Pandeyji even has some of his loyal constables transferred with him. We do have a local-don-and-aspiring politician Thakur Bachcha (Prakash Raj) in kanpur. Bachcha and his spoilt, troublesome brothers are a menace to the town.
When Bachcha’s brother Gainda (Deepak Dobriyal) oversteps by threatening Prajapati and tries to abduct a girl from her wedding, Chubul Pandey breaks his neck. Caught up in the preparations for the elections, Bachcha denounces his brother and continues campaigning. There Chulbul bonds with his father and revels in the news of being a daddy soon. Even his dim-witted brother takes an interest in taking up a job. But it doesn’t take long for Bachcha to remember his brother.

Does the tide turn on Chulbul this time?

Performances - Salman Khan is lovely as the maverick cop. He is very good in the action and comedy scenes. Sonakshi Sinha does aptly as Rajjo though she spends an oddly large amount of time drying clothes. Arbaaz Khan reprises his role as the village idiot with a few scenes as Makkhi. Vinod Khanna is absolutely wonderful as the worried patriarch Prajapati.

Charm Factor - The return of Chulbul Pandey-Rajjo-Makkhi; the comedy; some songs; the direction & cinematography.

KHILADI 786: Paisa Vasool Movie - Yes

Story Idea - Bahattar (72) Singh (Akshay kumar) beats villains black and blue and makes walls crumble with just a single punch! What he can’t do is find himself a bride because of his reputation. When an out-of-work matrimonial agent Manshukh Desai (Himesh) offers to get him hitched to Indu (Asin), the spoil sister of an underworld don Tatya Tendulkar (Mithun), both families pretend to come from respectable backgrounds. Watch the movie to enjoy the twist and turns of story which is about Manshukh Desai's efforts to make this Khiladi jodi.

Performance - Akshay Kumar in garish, loud kurtas knocking off the teeth and smashing the noses of every other bad guy in the village. The genre of action is the Khiladi’s forte, goes without saying; however, when it remains in the realm of the real. When Akshay Kumar isn’t beating people up or thinking about Asin, which – by the way – hardly happens, he is not bad. Asin’s Marathi mulgi act is overshadowed by her tomboyish side; but when faced by solid patriarchy in the form of her brother, she hardly has anything to do. Her acting is good, but not one that deserves a standing ovation. Mithun plays off the stereotypical elder-brother-worried-about-sister’s-wedding well.As far as Himesh Reshammiya’s talent (he’s the producer, story writer, music director, singer and actor in the film) is considered – we might need to do an entire thesis on why does this man try.

Charm Factor - I will say Comic Dialogues and music are two charm factors of this film. Watch the film if you swear by Akshay Kumar. If you don't, you'd be ill-advised to go into the theatres. This movie is certainly not a boring movie but again it is also not a very remarkable work of Akshay and Asin as an actor.

Talaash: Paisa Vasool Movie - Yes

Story Idea - Surjan Shekhawat (amir) is a police officer investigating the death of a fiom star, while also coming to terms with his son's untimely death and the subsequent near collapse of his marriage with Roshni (Rani). He investigates the case with the help of an escort with a golden heart Rosy (Kareena) who also helps him come out his own personal misery. How the case solves itself takes you through an emotional ride that ends with a twist that is sure to divide the audience on its quality.

Performance -  Perfectionist Amir Khan gives a new meaning to onscreen cops in times of muscled mustached Singhams and Rowdy Rathores.

Rani delivers a performance that is nuanced, amply displaying the wonders an actress can perform when not worried by the numbers game.

Kareena on the other hand manages to do her performance well - she is kind, strong, lonesome and seductive at the same time as Rosy.

Charm Factor - Kagti and Zoya write a story that is really nice and aided with some amazing photography and understated background score by Ram Sampath, bring to the screen an atmosphere that is gloomy and introspective. Director Kagti takes you through the story at her own pace, the mystery runs first, followed by the strong emotional parts. Good enough to shake you.

Rate on Paisa Vasool Index - For a thriller, Talaash is a good movie yet lacks the urgency to grip you by the throat. This one definitely is intelligent cinema, falling short of being cerebral. Watch it for yourself and decide.
