D-Day: Paisa Vasool Movie - Yes

Story Idea - The nabbing operation of India’s most wanted man that is carried out by four undercover agents, all of them come with their own personal baggage! Nabi Ali (Irrfan), stationed in Pakistan for years has already set up for himself emotional attachments. Rudra Pratap Singh (Arjun), a former Armed Force’ officer is exactly the opposite and prefers being detached. Zoya (Huma) dumps her familial happiness and chooses her patriotism over it. And Aslam, who serves as the spy in the Don’s ‘kafila’ joins hands in an impossible mission. On the eve of of his son’s wedding, the mission that will result in the downfall of this notorious don is to be executed.

Performances - Rishi Kapoor as Goldman, gives an impactful performance. The man is colossal in his notoriety!Irrfan as Wali Khan is impeccably wonderful both in his tender moments and the high drama ones. How in a matter of one simple film this man has in his role such diverse hues is unimaginable.

Arjun Rampal has evolved for the better as an actor. His infallible personality and his portrayal that has hints of both anguish and strength is what makes him stand out despite the presence of more powerful actors.

Huma Qureshi’s strength is in her simplistic acting.Sriswara as Irrfan’s wife is an excellent actress who known the right mode to enliven her role.

Shruti Haasan as an actress is obviously great, but her character is quite misplaced. Nevertheless she carries out her role to perfection especially the power with which she manages to choke you up in the song ‘Alvida’.

Charm Factor - Without an ounce of jingoism, the film’s plain, non-judgmental storytelling with a thought provoking narrative is ace. Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan put up a marvelous show! How brilliantly the climax is tied up with its shockers and teary jerks are what make D-Day so unparalleled. The direction is so deeply fascinating, that one remains obviously latched to the movie. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy’s soundtrack croons with a haunting feel and syncs wonderfully in the film’s story.

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag: Paisa Vasool Movie - Yes

Story Idea - The film is a story of Flying Sikh, Milkha Singh and his journey from his run for a glass of milk to becoming India’s pride on international athletic platforms. Tainted with battered past, bruised with horrific memories of Partition and later petty crime, his lady love helped him get focus in life.

Performances - Farhan Akhtar has immersed in himself the soul of Milkha Singh. Giving the best work of his career, he is resplendent as Milkha Singh. He brings out Milkha’s vulnerability with charm and his passion with force. There is comfortable and effortless energy Farhan infuses in his role which makes me sure no one could have played it better than him. The actor will impress you with the work he has done on his physique.

Divya Dutta plays Farhan’s older sister spotlessly well. Sonam Kapoor has a lovely tinge in her little role in her limited screen time.

Charm Factor - From story, to acting, to screenplay, to direction; this one indeed is picture perfect! This Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra biopic based on the magnetic life of athlete Milkha Singh, is all about pluses that champions the spirit of human living! His storytelling still has the sparkling vision and his style has the ability to keep you latched to the screens.

Raanjhanaa: Paisa Vasool Movie - Yes

Story Idea - In Banaras, a gully ka launda Kundan (Dhanush) falls in love with a Muslim girl Zoya (Sonam). Followed by the most uncanny ways of wooing her, the two part ways after the girl’s family discovers about them and send her off to Aligarh.

Further on this one-sided love story gets a communal twist when a Hindu boy marrying a Muslim girl becomes a topic of controversy.

Adding to this complication is Abhay Deol, who plays a student union leader from JNU. After separating from Kundan and moving to Delhi, Zoya falls in love with Abhay.

While she moves on and builds a new life, falls in love again, the launda is still madly in love with her. Where does this tale of unrequited love head for?

Performances - Dhanush has neither the conventional good looks, nor the six-packs to cater to mainstream audience. And that strangely is his biggest asset.  His dialogue delivery has a unique ring to it which will be either music or noise to your ears. You can't help but draw comparison with his father-in-law Rajnikanth in a few scenes.

Sonam is at ease playing Zoya. She carries the heavy burden  of making a smooth transition from being the effervescent girl next door to someone who is dealing with sudden loss. Also full credit to her for looking the part.

Supporting cast is a major highlight, especially Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub who plays Kundan's sidekick Murari. Swara Bhaskar does a fantastic job of playing the foul mouthed Bindiya who is jealous of Zoya.

Abhay Deol's role is small in size but still Abhay impressed audiance by his performance.

Charm Factor - A.R. Rehmaan's music and superb acting by Dhanush are two charm factors of this movie. After watching this movie, my first remark was - If you had loved the song " why this Kolavari di.." and if you understand that song then this film is for you... :-)

Fukrey: Paisa Vasool Movie - Yes

Story Idea - Just in case you’re wondering what Fukrey means. It’s a colloquial Punjabi term for slackers. Nonetheless, the film talks about something more meaningful. About small surprises in life that make the most gruelling efforts worth it. Using dream analysis as their method of winning lottery, the four men for their own reasons gamble off a huge sum that they have lent from a dangerous local lady goon!

When their dream analysis fails, hell breaks loose! Now with the police chasing them and the lady goon after their life, Fukrey is about 4 hopelessly miserly men and their quest to get money and achieve their dreams!

Performances - Of all the actors, the most commendable performances come from Pulkit Samrat (Hunny) and Varun Sharma (Choocha). It is a treat watching both of their charming and energy packed performances!

Priya Anand (Priya) pretty delhi girl look impressed  but her role was not long enough to prove anything. Vishakha Singh (Neetu) impressed with her performance. Her role was without dance performances but her look as a teacher, worked well.

Richa Chadha is at the zenith of her impressionable work. As the bubbly and boisterous Bholi Punjaban, she is near perfect!

Charm Factor - Being a Farahan Akhtar's production, this movie should have been much better. Still, Pulkit's performance and some silly comedy scenes are the charm factor of this movie. Beside this music is also good.

Yamla Pagla Deewana 2: Paisa Vasool Movie - No

Story Idea - Following from previous part, the film begins with con-men Dharam and Gajodhar retaining their notorious ways. This time posing as multimillionaire businessmen, they decide to con Sir Yograj. Unaware that the man is neck deep in debt, Gajodhar posing as Prem woos his daughter Suman.

All was going well in their plan, till Yograj hires the third Deol as his manager. Story is all about Sunny's effort to convert these two.

Performances - Sunny Deol, as the heartwarming Punjabi, is still shattering bones perfectly, even when he is at his drunk worst, and emerges as a show stealer. Punching his performance with his well played subtle comic timing, he is the only one who pitches a worthwhile show.

Dharmendra's charm doesn’t work at all this time. Bobby Deol too seems way less energetic than the film’s last edition! Reeking of stale moves, his performance was a low.

Besides Sunny Deol, Anupam Kher and Anu Kapoor manage to please us with their endearing screen presence. Anu Kapoor who was last seen in Vicky Donor, manages to do well in the small time frame!

There is charm in the ladies, especially Kristina Akheeva, which they don’t use adequately.

Charm Factor - Sunny Deol as the Punjabi version of Rajinikanth is the only satiating element of the film!

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani : Paisa Vasool Movie - Yes

Story Idea - The story that shifts between past and present is essentially the tale of a trek trip four friends take. Naina, a medical student and Bunny, a photographer along with their friends Avi and Aditi take a daunting expedition to Manali. While Naina comes to terms with her real self and falls in love, Bunny weaves in his mind a larger picture. Aspiring to embark on an endlessly journey to explore the world, the four friends come together next for Aditi’s wedding. The story has changed with the characters having remained constant and the film captures how each has grown in their individual journey of life.

Performances - Ranbir Kapoor delivers an outstanding performance. He will indeed make you believe that he is Bunny! The man has already ascribed himself to a few top awards this year. It is time to retire off our old superstars; the new one is right here!

Deepika Padukone impeccably brings on screen the insecurities of her character, carefully nurturing every detailed shade of what Naina entails.

Kalki Koechlin is impulsive and Aditya Roy Kapur is charming.

Charm Factor - Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is a delicious entertainer. Though the story is packed with its generous share of clichés, it still works endearingly! Deepika and Ranbir render on screen an irresistible chemistry. It is half way through the year and finally here is 2013's first true to the word blockbuster film.

Aurangzeb: Paisa Vasool Movie - Yes

Story Idea - Yashvardhan (Jackie) is a legitimate businessman who runs a real estate empire in connivance with a power broker, Naina (Amrita Singh). His young son Ajay (Arjun Kappor) has grown up to be a real rascal. The 27-year-old is a reckless and violent sociopath who is more trouble to his fathers’ business than he is worth.  In order to destroy Yashwardhan Singh, DCP Ravikanth (Rishi Kappor) tweaks out strings of his past. Replacing his heir Ajay, with his long lost son, Vishal.

As Vishal climbs up the ladder in his father’s business, the stakes rise as the bodies fall; the game that was already dirty and rigged from the start turns bloody. The game continues to see who wins the edge.

Performances - Arjun Kapoor is a double treat in his double role. Going by the knotty character he plays, it is commendable that he manages to deliver without faltering. Showing commendable promise in acting may be he doesn’t give a memorabilia, but he is one actor to look out for in the tinsel town.

Rishi Kapoor plays his role shrewdly and managed to command power all through. In the role he had, it was easy to turn into rubble, but he praiseworthily manages well.

Debutant Sasheh Agha is all skin show and no prowess. She can’t emote and that’s her problem! Besides that beauty won’t take her far in Bollywood anymore!

Charm Factor - A well scripted story and a few mind-blowing performances! Director Atul Sabharwal evokes seething anger for not doing justice to the story he had. With a delicious premise like that, he barely manages to serve us anything beyond mediocrity. Trying to deal with too many subjects and points, he loses himself in the web of interpersonal relationships of his characters and the nail biting plot that he had.

Aashiqui 2: Paisa Vasool Movie - Yes

Story Idea - Rahul Jaykar aka RJ (Aditya Roy Kapur) is an alcoholic, an impulsive pop-artist, and a tragic figure. He gets easily provoked when mischievously poked. This is not helping his career. He seems to have lost interest in his career or life. RJ accidentally meets Mumbai girl Arohi Shirke (Shraddha Kapoor) in Goa, who is walking alone carrying sabzi-bhaji worth Rs.86/- in the dead of the night, attired in an ethnic designer dress and is almost run over by RJ’s SUV. Soon we see Arohi singing RJ’s song in a cheap Goan bar and RJ arriving there in search of booze. Her singing enamors him. RJ wants to promote her. She is a good singer and can be the next ‘nightingale of India’. RJ forces her to return to Mumbai, leaving her bar job.

In Mumbai, after some delay and initial hiccups and mishaps, RJ turns Arohi into a successful singer, sacrificing his career. Arohi and RJ love each other but people talk all kinds of things behind their backs. RJ listens to what they say, reacts violently, and takes to drinking straight from the bottle. It happens repetitively. Arohi always stands by him and is ever willing to sacrifice her fledgling career to save him from himself.

Will she be able to help him? This is to watch in movie.

Performances - This movie is all about two characters. Aditya is a good actor and have that potential which was required for this kind of role. Shraddha was good but still not up to the mark. Director Mohit Suri is good on this kind of subject. In his earlier films he had proved himself a good director for some deep romantic shots and also shoots of deep stress.

Charm Factor - No doubt, charm factor is music. Nothing like charm factor in acting. Both have done good job but still there is a scope of much better performances. The story line and dialogues are charm factor of this movie. Some very good shots had made me write good about screen play also. Director Mohit Suri had given better than this and surly it was not at all bad work by the director.

Commando: Paisa Vasool Movie - Yes

Story Idea - Captain Karanvir Dogra, a commando with 9 Para Commandos crashes into the Chinese border. Chinese Army officers tried to  brand him a spy and use this excuse to embarrass the Indian Government. The Indian Government feels that under these circumstances, the Chinese will not accept any proof of Karan having crashed during a routine training so they erase Karan's army record and simply deny his existence.

Karan escapes from the Chinese side before he can be sentenced and crosses into Himachal Pradesh. As Karan crosses the Himachal - Punjab border, he runs into a girl, Simrit who is escaping from Amrit Kanwal Singh's goons. Amrit Kanwal Singh (a notorious character) wants to marry Simrit for political gains as marriage will lend him some respectability. Karanvir warns the goons to let go off her but they don't listen and bear the brunt of his pent up anger. Simrit far from being pleased tells Karan that he has created more trouble for her and now he must escort her till she feels safe. Amrit Kanwal waylays them on the Andheria Bridge. Finding himself outnumbered Karanvir jumps off the bridge with Simrit into a fast flowing river which carries them into a forest. Karanvir hears Simrit's story and promises to help her. He decides to stick to the jungle route and then get out of it once they feel that the heat on Simrit from Amrit Kanwal Singh and his men has died down. Amrit Kanwal Singh on the other hand decides to pursue them.

Now begins a cat and mouse game between Amrit Kanwal, his men and Karan in the forest. Will Karan rise to the occasion and save Simrit..

Performances - Vidyut Jamwal; the indian rambo, had done exceptionally well actions in this movie. From the introduction shot of stylish push ups till the last kick, Vidyut's action is really appreciable. But he is still far away from acting. There is a dialague in the movie which is undoubtly correct for his acting skills - Logo ke to kapde stri kiye hote hain... tumhara to chehra hi stri kiya gya hain. Although this had worked with the role of commando. But still some more expression, some more acting was required. Jaideep Ahlawat certainly the second pillar of the story and the only point of attraction for those who don't like to watch out and out action movie.

Director Dilip Ghosh had utilized this actor in a pretty well manner. Jaideep had done justice with the role of AK-74. Pooja Chopra was pretty and fit for this kind of role. She is good but not with some amazing acting skills.

Charm Factor - This movie is with the title - One man Army. No doubt, what else can be the charm factor of this movie. Yes. This is only the action of this movie. Vidyut's kicks and jumps are well captured in the camera. This is far better than our south indian style of action movies. For those who don't like much action, Dilip Ghosh do have some sms jokes in the movie that will light the pressure of continuous action.
